These Terms and Conditions govern your use of BookACallout. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

1. What BookACallout does

BookACallout helps people describe service needs, discover or receive recommendations for service providers, make introductions, and facilitate related communication and workflows. BookACallout may support informal service providers as well as qualified or regulated professionals.

2. BookACallout is a facilitator

Unless expressly stated otherwise, BookACallout is not the employer, principal, agent or guarantor of a service provider. A recommendation, match, ranking, verification indicator or introduction does not guarantee quality, availability, pricing, safety, legality or successful completion of work.

3. User responsibilities

You must provide information that is reasonably accurate, use BookACallout lawfully, respect other users, and avoid abusive, discriminatory, fraudulent, misleading or unlawful content. You must not impersonate another person or submit information you have no right to provide.

4. Recommendations

Recommendations should reflect genuine experiences or reasonable grounds for recommending a provider. BookACallout may moderate, reject, hold for review, edit with user approval, or remove content that is abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, irrelevant, unlawful, contains unnecessary personal information, or otherwise breaches platform rules.

5. Service providers

Service providers are responsible for the accuracy of their profile information, capabilities, availability, pricing, qualifications and registrations. Where law or policy requires a licence, qualification, certificate or registration for particular work, the provider and customer remain responsible for ensuring the requirement is met.

6. Safety and emergencies

BookACallout is not an emergency service. If there is an immediate threat to life, health, property or public safety, users should contact the appropriate emergency or professional service rather than relying on BookACallout.

7. Fees

BookACallout may offer free and paid functionality. Any applicable fees, commissions or paid features should be disclosed before they are charged. Service-provider pricing is separate from BookACallout unless specifically stated otherwise.

8. Communications

BookACallout may communicate with users through supported channels such as WhatsApp where necessary to provide the service. Messaging may also be subject to the terms and policies of the relevant communications platform.

9. AI-assisted features

Automated systems may assist with interpreting requests, moderation, matching, summaries and recommendations. Automated outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and should not be treated as professional, legal, technical or safety advice. BookACallout may apply deterministic policy rules and human review where appropriate.

10. Availability

We aim to keep BookACallout available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, be suspended or be discontinued as the service develops.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, BookACallout is not responsible for losses arising solely from the acts or omissions of independent users or service providers. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

12. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Suspension or termination

BookACallout may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, enforce these terms or protect the platform.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The current version will be published on this page.
