You may request deletion or correction of personal information associated with your BookACallout account or interactions, subject to applicable legal and operational retention requirements.

How to request deletion

Send a deletion request using the privacy contact details published on the BookACallout website. Your request should include enough information for us to identify the relevant BookACallout account or conversation, such as the mobile or WhatsApp number used with the service.

Identity verification

Before deleting or disclosing personal information, we may take reasonable steps to verify that the person making the request is entitled to act on the relevant account or information. This helps prevent unauthorised deletion or disclosure.

What may be deleted

Where applicable, deletion may include account profile information, stored contact details, service-provider profile information, recommendations attributable to you, and other personal information that BookACallout no longer has a lawful or necessary reason to retain.

Information we may need to retain

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required, including records required for security, fraud prevention, audit, financial or tax obligations, dispute resolution, legal claims, regulatory obligations or proof of transactions and consent.

Provider recommendations

If you request deletion of your account, BookACallout will assess recommendations and referral records associated with your account. Where retention is not required, personal attribution may be removed or the record deleted. Some non-identifying or aggregated information may be retained where lawful.

Processing time

We will handle deletion requests within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable South African data-protection requirements. We may contact you if additional information is required to locate or verify the relevant records.

Meta / WhatsApp users

If you use BookACallout through WhatsApp, requesting deletion from BookACallout does not automatically delete information held independently by Meta or WhatsApp. Their own privacy controls and policies apply to information they process separately.
